RE/MAX AGENTS
RE/MAX puts a lot of work into its agents. They put their agents through advanced training courses; give them technological tools, internally and externally networked web sites and ad campaigns.
The agents are known for the leg work they do for their clients. They also, because of their advanced training courses, have a deep knowledge of the complicated real estate jargon that can so often confuse home buyers and sellers. RE/MAX agents work extensively with their clients to pinpoint their needs and then create a plan to work toward those needs and achieve them. They also have a deep understanding of whatever market they are in and have a lot of data available for their clients.
RE/MAX agents are known the world over for selling more real estate than any other real estate brokerage in the world. Even though they do a fair amount of advertising most of a RE/MAX agent’s business comes from referrals done by satisfied clients.
No matter what your needs are, RE/MAX agents will help you reach your goals.
With tons of positive reviews published in periodicals and on the internet and with word-of-mouth positive reviews working for them, it is no wonder that RE/MAX is growing by leaps and bounds. With their signature balloon and hot air balloon races, RE/MAX has succeeded in developing a successful business and a successful brand. It has taken this success and parlayed that into charity work and the development of new services to offer.
HISTORY OF RE/MAX
RE/MAX was founded in 1973 by Dave and Gail Liniger. They opened their first offices in Denver, Colorado and still own the company today. RE/MAX was started because the Linigers didn’t like the way the real estate business was being run by most realtors in 1973. They set out to change the way real estate business was conducted and they are succeeding.
What makes RE/MAX different from other real estate brokers is the way the company is run. Usually in a real estate brokerage, an agent has to give the brokerage half of his or her commission. That half-commission is then used to keep the brokerage itself running. It pays for the office and the supplies and advertising. RE/MAX doesn’t charge its agents half of their commissions. Instead, the agents keep their commissions and all of them, whether they just started or have been working with RE/MAX for years, and pay office fees which are used for the running of the brokerage office.
Since it’s inception in 1973, has grown consistently and has expanded from its first office in Denver, Colorado into an international company. RE/MAX has over 120,000 agents, is in 65 countries and 70 regions in the network that includes Europe, Asia, Africa, New Zealand, South America, the Caribbean, Central America, South America and Australia. It is the top rated real estate company in Canada (and has been since 1987). It is also the first and only real estate company to have its own satellite television network made specifically for real estate agents.
RE/MAX also contributes to many charities. It is a sponsor of The Children’s Miracle Network, the Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program, Fisher House Foundation, Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation and sponsors the RE/MAX Tour for the Troops.
RE/MAX doesn’t just focus on residential real estate. It also excels at commercial investment and has an international referral network.
RE/MAX has also clearly defined its brand with the help of the ever popular hot air balloon. It made its debut in 1978, five years after RE/MAX's inception to the real estate market. It came about because while RE/MAX had become a very popular business, studies showed that people couldn’t easily pick them out by a brand. So they entered a red, white and blue hot air balloon in the 1978 Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. Its slogan was “above the crowd” and became their company logo.
